They're meant to be used by mobile devices, so if possible when redirecting to a webpage, make it mobile friendly - and not your regular website that may have too small of a print or pictures that take too long to load for the smaller screen of mobile devices.I've read a couple of articles where businesses that have had a lot of success using SMS text messages, are having the QR codes tie into an SMS text message.

I run the water until it gets really hot, and then place a dial thermometer with numbers on the dial into the stream of water (the thermometer is one of those instant read meat thermometers, not some infr-red device).

If signal wires are already dangling for the remote device, then almost anybody can hook it up.I think the water company will do this as part of getting you service; after all, they won't get paid for water if you can't get it.
