Data is mixed throughout the USA but Canada, Australia and some parts of developed Asia are already on the decline.

., while I respect your historical returns in NY (I've received similar phenomenal growth in Melbourne, Australia during those same years), I personally wouldn't be recommending buying in Melbourne TODAY (2017) unless you didn't care about the hemorrhaging of hundreds/thousands of dollars every month to buy there ie. many more dollars than if you just rented there.

Buy dividend (income) paying stocks from countries like Australia and Canada that will continue to remain strong based on their plentiful natural resources.
