When traveling from state to state  I can see considerably more residential quadruplexes being  built than self storage  facilities .

I have also heard that banks will not finance the type of houses I am looking to purchase which are in the 20k-30k range or purchase a package of properties in that price range.  

Travelling to and spending time at the properties is the biggest time suck.

Here in South Dakota we don't really have a gang land or war zone, which I thought it was a little funny that anyone would check out crime in S.D before getting a hotel :)  Since I travel alone mostly I always try and check.

Closed on it a few weeks ago and already have a tenant accepted and SEC 8 package submitted.1345 E Tanners Creek, Norfolk VA - 3 bed/2 full bath townhome in a POA @ $75/month.  

And they would most likely be maintenance days.Anyway, would our travel expenses for this trip be deductible as long as we save receipts and keep a record of properties we looked at and realtors we met with?

I have the ability to live in an expense free environment, where I basically am only paying for my travel.  

I was living at home traveling back and forth to RI every weekend to make this multi family work.

I already provide a full package to the lender, which rarely requires additional information requests.
