Mary,that would depend on what the property was worth at the time of the Mother's death and what it is worth now.I doubt there would be a CG tax because it sounds like the house was in bad shape and you are selling it at a technical loss.Only a CPA and a qualified appraiser can answer these questions throughly.

technically, an uber driver is still a cab driver just isn't called that.Being a realtor is really a service provider and just like any other service provider, you will be around as long as your service is desired (not necessarily needed).

Keep in mind that you are technically an employer, so a workers comp policy needs to be in place by the contractors, if not, your now responsible as the employer.
