Keep putting yourself out there and connecting with people on bigger pockets... surround yourself with people who are smarter than you are and that have similar goals in life....read books that will change your mindset....Rich dad poor dad is a good place to start.....go to your local REIA group and meet people in your area....I have yet to do that but that is on my schedule.....Best to you both!

We stopped by the property around 9pm last night to make sure things were locked up, and he was there by himself doing some touch up painting and appeared to be high on drugs (and offered us a beer).He is still insistent we'll close everything out next week on schedule, but I have serious reservations.

We've found that if we schedule a weekend and go inspect the properties ourselves (with at least a week notice to the tenants as we have to schedule the trip that far out, anyway) once a year or so, a lot of the little stupid items that used to drive us nuts just go away.

@Jason V.Also establish a protocol with your current tenant ahead of time for handling showings, for example tell them you will e-mail them the night before if there is a scheduled showing, or however you want to handle.
