If you have a better investment opportunity then yes absolutely sell it.

Networking is always a great practice and you never know who you might meet there and what good information they have to share.

A syndication that's capable of a 100% return in a 5 year period will likely be reliant on a sale and expect the underlying real estate to be a heavy value add or ground up opportunity rather than a cosmetic unit turnover type multi-family syndication.

It would be a shame for the transfer to occur as though you are not parent / child and lose the opportunity to keep a low tax basis.

My only word of encouragement would be to embrace some volatility over the coming decade for the longer-term opportunities it can afford.
