Keep in mind though, the biggest hurdle is actually getting started with your first investment property. 

Despite it being a small town I drove around this town quite a bit and for a tiny town it has a lot of activity.

There is a steady stream of buyer activity from those either priced out of the surrounding states or looking for greater leverage.

I wouldn’t mind acquiring an STR, if it makes sense. 

Keep in mind they bought Loopnet about a year ago.

Since I have only had active possession for 2 years, I still have one more year for the redemption to expire.  

Hi Brian- according to the Buildup website Although renting and leasing activities are considered real estate activities undertaken by a real estate broker, if those activities are incidental to his or her involvement as a property manager, a real estate broker license is not required in MA.
