Home Insurance was very expensive due to hurricane.Builder wouldn’t let me transfer permit and build to another investor.

Starting to dream about building a trendy tiny home /  container home community in our local mountain town that has become insanely unaffordable to the  locals.

I like the idea of building up a big reserve and house hacking will definitely help do this quicker.

I'm also building an ADU here at my primary residence that we'll operate as a STR.Of my Detroit doors, 3 are Section 8 and one is operated as a STR.

This is partly due to low inventory and no additional land to build to keep up with demand.

You'll also need to learn a lot about the adult-care industry - insurance and licenses needed, how to find employees, budgeting, how to find tenants/patients, etc.

I like that new builds don't require a lot of maintenance (although we had to put in a yard which was more than I expected).

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and open to feedback/advice on building/investing in Western NC.Some background on me, I've Lived-In rehabbed and made decent returns on 8 houses (lost most of it in a old divorce so in the middle of a restart to try to actually retire in the next 10-15 yrs).
