Maybe they raise some equity direct from immediate family (IE - mom/dad/sister/brother/grandparents/uncles/aunts/cousins), but the majority of the skin in the game is the GP's own.

@Matthew Mueller if the PMC is representing you as the property owner, then they are your legal agent and have legal responsibilities to the owner.Is this PMC properly licensed and insured?

Take a look at your agreement with the listing agent so see if there is a penalty, if not request terminating your agreement immediately or hiring a local PM to represent you to communicate directly with the listing agent to end the agreement.

You can even create your own checklist to the cleaner complete and ask for photos of the cleaning.
