If I take 2017 to 2021 as the five year period and I lived in the house for 2017 & 2018, I understand I need to sell by Dec 2021.

Already talked seller down from $190K, so $168K is where I am in the due diligence period. 

We did have to guarantee the debt with personal credit.

It would be to buy a primary residence with the goal of living in it for a period of time, then renting it out.  

Short periods with balloons being due at the end are the norm.
