I am gearing up to invest in duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I'm working on a multi-family project at work now and the client opted to go with prefab walls for most of the walls.

I believe that a duplex or triplex seem within my reach.

I have a duplex under contract that I plan to move into, preferably FHA (immediate occupancy) or Conventional (60 days).

Target acquisition price <200k mostly for duplexes, couple fourplexes.  

I'm considering buying and house hacking a duplex .

I agreed, stating that hot water in some capacity is a required living condition.To repair the HVAC, piping had to be redone in the walls, including walls in the tenant’s room.

If the difference in price isn't astronomical I'd try to replace as much as you can with all the pipes exposed.You will thank yourself later when you don't have to open a wall to replace galvanized piping that is full of scale and clogged.Thx,Chris

The story has a lot of moving parts so forgive me if it gets confusing, I know I was confused as this all unraveled.Summary:My girlfriend and I own a duplex whose water service has been terminated because MDC mishandled a billing issue with the previous owner of the property at the time of the sale to us.
