What advice would you give to an investor starting out in terms of location?

Do you know what worked best for them when they just started?

I mean, nothing is foolproof...but that will get you started in the right direction. 

My goal is to become a long-term rental investor, but I would like to start by doing a couple of fix and flip properties here in San Antonio.

It has been a dream of mine since I got into this industry to own my own healthcare facility.

What are some of the considerations or pitfalls to this strategy where we would start renting a single family residence out, then convert to our primary residence after ~5 years.

We want to get the renovation start immediately.

I'm looking into starting off into real estate investing with my partner and have been looking into the Milwaukee area with a buy and hold strategy in mind.
