I recommend going to meetup.com and try to attend a few local investor events, the people there are seasoned investors that offer valuable insight on the areas to watch.  

I have looked up names in the phone book and online but haven't been able to meet up with a CPA yet due to tax season taking all their time.

Some seasoned investor friendly agents will be better than others but good luck.
