Frequently there is a sheet metal plate that needs to be removed from the duct under or beside the evaporative cooler and it needs to be stowed for summer to be replaced in the fall.

There are also frequent problems with squatters all over Spain, and town halls, local governments, courts, are very lenient on them.Basically in Spain if a tenant stops paying or squatters break into a property, the owner is in big trouble, and totally unprotected.

Any licensed plumber will know the code - get a permit and inspection for running the lines as well A lot of the older homes where I live have been retrofitted with a washer and dryer - they are frequently found in either the kitchen or the bathroom.
