I hope to get some advice from more experienced members on  finding rental properties for house hacking.

This is causing difficulty for me to understand if this is a good investment property or not when I do an analysis on this property.We are getting a huge downpayment from our parents for a house. 

Weekends are more flexible, with about 8-hours of available time.3) House hacking is not an option because my folks moved across the country (in to our same neighborhood) so they could be closer to their grandchildren.

When I add rental houses to my portfolio, the extra cash flow offsets a vacancy.

It would be a different type of loan than the one you bought the house with in your own name. 

Ultimately, section 8 housing can be a great way to build your rental units due to guaranteed income.

The one I am used to using provides cost estimates of various rehab products based on specs about the house.
