I would rather buy a property that had the roof, mechanics updated than the interior paint. 

I have a friend who is a contractor and is interested in flipping, and another friend who is an interior designer.

Does the interior of the home match the description in the ad and the pictures?

And if they have to drill holes for interior piers, you pretty much will have to replace the entire flooring. $$$$3.

.)- Property size (i.e. interior square ft, livable square ft, heated sq ft.)- Lot size - Location (same town, neighborhood, subdivision, etc.)- Year built- Construction type (brick, stucco, frame, etc.)Hope this helps!

I 2nd what @James Wise said, but if I were going to do it (and I was not working with load bearing walls, I would focus on the back area and hall.It really comes down to what our close in competition is getting and what their offerings are.If you see a more tidy, rain protected look getting more money without sitting on the market too long, or you don't want to offer something too downscale (looking for a little better renter--hopefully)....maybe focus on the hall and back door.Some of the things I see that can could the possible rent a little better might be, door types, a rain roof, concrete patio and trash areas, a cellular door bell on the bottom, an outdoor modern looking pigtail florescent light (day lighter), the interior hall with commercial tread covers and lighting like the sun (day lighter) as well as a sturdy metal handrail or two, and a window at the top.But as James said above--beware of spending when you don't have to (but that's your call depending on your close in competition).Good Luck!

Replacing most of the vinyl flooring and repainting interior...hoping that improves without taking everything to the studs.

Holding costs, further rate increases may result in price declines, the need to extract investment all point to get out soon even if you are disappointed in your return (I suspect your return will only get worse with time).BTW the interior looks nice (narrow, but nice).I have passed on quite a few BRRRR properties (We do BRRRRs and not flips) because I believed the area would not provide me the opportunities that I was looking for.Good luck

Ive seen many youtube videos where homeowners lost big bucks b/c drainage systems didnt work....be it interior..or exterior.

The interior fit and finish is not as nice as a honda but the engine and transmission are great.
