@Jeff Costa yes I had budgeted out the renovation in an inspection prior to purchasing.

Instead of telling her that you would like her to pay rent, I'd say let's come up with a household budget that we both contribute to.

Learned a lot around contractors, designing, architecture costs, materials affecting overall budget.

By population growth, landlord friendliness, city size (I LOVE big cities), economic diversity, my budget and a few other factors.So Indianapolis is one of my winners which I am looking into more seriously.
