Often you can get a ballpark number from a contractor giving him basic details of what you want done including things like how much square footage you are talking about, quality of materials, and any other important details for a particular project.

I've not heard about this roadblock from Brandon and David, but perhaps I missed this small but crucial detail. 

All in all a great first book for real estate investors.Unfortunately the book lacks quite a few details that you need to actually DO real estate investing... but it is very inspirational all the same.
