Vinyl seems to last the same no matter what you pay but my experience is mostly with kitchens where you eventually get a dig or tear.

They would inspect the area to be vacuumed and then turn it on while the human cleaners were working on the kitchen or bathroom.  

If you like the kitchen cabinets, then there is no reason to change them.
