@Jack Sullivan you've got spot on advice here already and would add that if you don't know Orlando from a price point, neighborhood, appreciation, or demographics point of view..start with those points.

This is one of my absolute favorite ways to find a deal or two with a little bit of time and sweat equity.

There are a lot of great meetups around SLC but my favorites are the REIAs (Real Estate Investment Associations).

Galveston and Myrtle Beach are popular vacation spots for STR, you can begin to look at the active STR listings in those areas to see what you would be competing against and get a better idea of the property you would want to invest in.
