A degree in finance may help you crunch numbers for a buy and hold or a sales background may prepare you for wholesaling.

I have a very technical background but haven't had a need to do anything like this for years and am looking for recommendations on a model to use to promote interest and a website host that is cost effective and easy to use. 

I'm a property insurance adjuster by trade with a background in construction (mostly framing, but have experience with flooring, windows, drywall, trim, tile, electrical, plumbing, etc.).My father, who has been in the construction industry for 40 years and owns his own company, and I recently completed and sold our first flip. 

@Kevin Sheppard I did a live in “flip” but I still live here.I ended up with a beautiful house to live in and a 75k HELOC which I’m using for a down payment on a duplex that is set to close next week.I originally intended on flipping the house and making a big profit since I found a beat up house in a really desirable location.

Still, seller financing is usually faster and easier to get than a government-backed mortgage—if the seller is willing and able to provide it.And, while most owner financing requires some form of background or credit check, it can help otherwise unqualified borrowers achieve homeownership.

Wholesaling is tough, since you have a background in repairs I definitely believe that will help you tremendously.
