its just old school .. just because that is what they know and are used to.

I've had an interest in real estate since I was in high school, after I read Rich Dad Poor Dad (sound familiar?).

At an extra $80/month taken away from my capex, that would help mostly townhomes, in the area that’s attactive with shops and good schools, look more appealing then the ~$140/month cash flow i would be looking at without that factored it.

I generally focus on areas with good schools. 

I will say that Aviston is my personal residence after I did due diligence in 2010; it's a fast-growing small town with a rising median income and a lot of development with a great school district (the elementary school is quite new and well-regarded).

My mother sacrificed her time and money working to put me into a school (that we couldn't afford without the generosity of others) where I was able to see what real wealth was and more importantly see how real wealth can help change the lives of others.

@Daniel Joseph - Personally I have properties in the Parma & but I keep looking in parma, parma heights, North Royalton, Rocky River, & Medina areas for opportunities, all of these suburbs have good schools, reasonable crime rates, realistic pricing & are desirable for quality tenants.  

I graduated from graduate school in May of 2018 and was hoping to buy my first deal by the end of 2019.

I'm not sure i can swing the room rentals because it's a 2bd 1 ba not located near big schools.
