When searing on the HUD website, it appears there are not any in the Dallas area.

Already invested in Dallas, about to invest again in Phoenix.

I'm in Dallas investing in my first single family property. 

@Blake Wood wow amazing man, I'm in Dallas and the same boat as you except I only have about 20k to put down atm, and I don't really know many people, but I've been attending reia meetings and connecting with people.

For instance, a property that might meet the 1% rule in Dallas TX could have a lower return than a property with a lower price/rent ratio in a market like Kansas City with lower operating expenses.

I saved for 10 months and educated myself md bought an out of state single family rental in memphis (while living in Dallas).  

Hello,I am a remote investor and I own 3 investment single family homes in North Dallas (Frisco, Little Elm and Van Alstyne) that i have purchased withing the last 12 months.

I have been a realtor in Florida for about four years, but I am moving to Dallas, Texas, in about a month – thus, I am new to the Texas real estate market. 

So it got me thinking, why not build on one of these small lots in South Dallas.
