@Kevin EllertonLien priority is determined by “first in time, first in line”.You can look up the property liens....search the owner name on the Clerk of Court’s Official Records search.

I haven't heard of an exact date, but I've heard it will be in 2021 when the policy is officially implemented. 

I've explicitly asked several times for formal/official written documentation of the violation, which I think is warranted/required in this situation, but have not been provided with one. 

The City of Ottawa has also announced an "Official Plan" that it expects Ottawa's population to grown by 400K people in the next 40 years due to an Influx of people moving into the city from the neighbouring larger city (Toronto). 

But the DST becomes the replacement property for the 1031.Their structure was officially blessed by the IRS in 2004 to qualify for 1031 exchange replacement.

Unfortunately, you don't have much leverage there as again, the seller has a binding contract with you.Depending on the language in the contract, you will most likely lose your deposits if you walk away.  

Probably just a coincidence...I genuinely think the government/news has done a disservice to these people, they really have not bothered to explain in plain language dumb people can understand you still have to pay that rent.
