It's weird that numerous professionals telling you this and you still won't believe it. 

My plan is jumping to another career field within 3 years so more than likely that would mean me moving to a different state.

We are thinking about requiring an inspection on the septic system.Would those that have had to deal with septic issues make it a contingent to be able to walk away, or should we just assume the main field is bad and we will have to move to the reserve and take the price off the top?

NYC has numerous networking groups where you can go meet individual investors, syndicators, fund managers, and everything in between. 

So we bought a house out in the oil field boom area while we were working there.

I've been given the opportunity to go back to college to get a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development due to a fellowship that I was part of during my undergrad, but i'm hesitant because the whole field is brand new to me.
