How has big data impacted your real estate investing?

I get more use out of big data in other investment categories, which provides a nice baseline for the kind of returns I should expect on real estate, before it's too much effort.Granted, there are a million opportunities out there.

I thought i would learn for a year or two because i was just over broke, and kept listening to guys that were doing conventional buy and holds, thinking to myself "well this sucks, I'll never be able to save up 20%!!!!"
