Purchased it a year ago and went through a major renovation (added 2 bedrooms and a completely new bath for example).

I believe the duplex rental(don't have anything yet) wont allow me to completely cover my mortgage on that property but will help with a majority of it.

I'm not too familiar with that area but it doesn't appear to be a major growth city.

Just a quick FYI, addressing a misconception that might be there between the lines if I'm reading that right.Mortgage credit pulls have the lowest impact on your FICO score of all types of inquiries.

However, a major feedback we have been getting is the fact there is no fence. 

IMO these need major rehab work and are only attractive in "hot" areas where flippers can turn around and resell them for $100k+ to retail buyers.

This was a major rehab with new HVAC and new Water heater.

San Jose and got 3 inquiries over the course of a year.

Only a few lots that size go on sale every year and the majority are sloped or wooded.

There are the superficial indicators of a good flip as well – proximity to major city hubs and transportation, quality of local school, crime stats in the neighborhood, etc.
