He said the kind he got was very durable but if it got messed up, say they rearranged furniture and the slider had come off and a nail dragged a cut into it, he could cut the affected patterns out and lay in new ones seamlessly instead of doing a large area like the whole room.

I changed to Schlage electronic keypad (great for nicer areas and vacation rental type houses as you can change code easily and instantly and give a code to your cleaners) but battery had to be replaced surprisingly early (about 1 year - supposed to last 3) Your application dictates which lock is best.

I have a small basement apartment in one of my buildings, the rent is only $375, and when the tenant runs the baseboard heaters it'll easily make the electric bill approach $200.

If you're in the process of remodeling the first floor unit, the last thing you want is the pipe to start leaking again in 6 months and then you have to rip a newly remodeled unit apart to fix something you could have easily fixed now. my 2 cents

You can tell those walls by looking easily mostly by if the walls have bricks that run length wise the whole way up (cavity wall) or if every so many rows, there looks to be a row that is made up of 'half bricks' ie the end of a brick.
