I don't still have pictures of my first rental house, but it is on a slab, and the home was built in the late 60s when lime-colored asbestos tile was all the rage.

Most companies would carry higher coverages as J Scott did himself....and, in the example, there would not have been any coverage.Using a waiver will keep you "safe" for most basic things: painting, handyman, tile work but for roofing and electrical you'll be better off to get a contractor with comp coverage.

I would highly recommend to have female input in interior designs; wife's often make the final call about making an offer and I have seen guys build houses that are way to masculine in design - dark tile bathroom or kitchn etc..

Of course, actual finish materials such as tile, countertops, etc. vary in ACTUAL  cost a great deal, so you need to know where your figures land within a range of costs if you do not fine tune each estimate.
