It's quite typical for mortgages to get delayed for any or no reason, and it's extremely difficult to prove delay on behalf of the lender vs yourself if it came to court, and C) If you truly do want to go down that path, consult a lawyer for professional legal advice, D) having been through many situations where someone really does "deserve it", I've found it's much more useful to use your energy to move on and forward, rather than stopping or moving backward.
