The vehicle and strategy can vary widely.  

I'm not sure that I have the stomach or ethics for kicking grandma out on the street and maybe need a different investment vehicle if that's part of tax deed sales. 

AND, you can write off your vehicle expenses!

I've been seeing a lot of these types of vehicles being tilted up lately.

A simple list of "before" assets and "after" assets in general categories (household goods, vehicles, cash, retirement accounts, real estate, collections) and itemized liabilities is usually sufficient.

The easy pickins are fewer and far between these days.So, my first thought is that your example is not a good example for a RE investment, unless you are treating it as a long term investment vehicle where you contribute to your investment fund each month (potential negative cashflow), hoping it will grow over time (appreciation).

They had no vehicle; the driveway had not been plowed since they moved in but somehow, they could get fuel.Anyway, they sat at the curb with three young children for over 2 hours in 27-degree weather before they finally got a ride to get a U-Haul.

The option may not be the right vehicle for your mother-in-law, but its an option worth looking into to see if it is if she hasn't closed escrow already. 

I believe Wealthability is Tom's vehicle to take his tax strategies to a far larger market than his CPA firms could ever reach.

However, I have yet to come across a comprehensive and clear analysis of how different investment vehicles align with different strategies and so I'm looking for someone who can provide that breakdown or knows where I can find it.
