I would like to have someone who will eventually buy it, not just a short-term.And I guess my overall question, how do you keep disciplined in making such little decisions?

Depending on how much cash is actually left, 10-20 cents on the dollar seems like a likely outcome.These weren’t just poor performing properties that investor’s money was put into, but much newer investors money went to earlier investors and is gone, like Madoff.

I never refi because I was just was too busy starting my career (poor excuse) but I was super overworked.

Many people pay off some loans to keep others available others do the algebra on what they make room a purchase vs what they pay in taxes and make a decision based on that.

I think the bigger issue is that it sounds like Brian would prefer to live in Baltimore, and that should also factor into his decision.

If they can not afford the equilivant of a months rent deposit they definatly can not afford the apartment due to very poor financial planning.
