Search out a local real estate group like DIG or connect with an attorney that you can refer business to on occasion so you can pick up the phone and ask questions when necessary.

The reason I picked Port Charlotte is because (from what I can see by demographics and occupancies), it is a very leased area.

Things are starting to get back to normal slowly but surely and business is starting to pick up again!

You'll have to pick those up somewhere else. 

I definitely plan on making sure I do not rush the process, like you said as you get more into it the faster it will pick up!

We picked this up from Wendy and Jay Papasan's episode on BP.

the cape style home was picked through like you wouldn't believe (walls town apart to get to piping, windows removed)  it was a shell of a house that sat empty for 4+ years bofore tax auction.   

These guys you read about that pick up 100 properties in two years are very much the exception.

I would LOVE to talk to someone who has actually done this and pick your brain. 

As an investor in other parts of Baltimore county, I've always wanted to pick up a fix and flip or buy and hold in Towson.
