Really dig into all reviews, on both sides, tenants and owners.I used David Green's book on OOS investing and used the questions he said to ask, then heard how they answered it and I asked them about situations and how it works.I do recommend asking them to describe how they make a unit rent ready.

Most DIY landlords have no clue everything involved in professionally managing properties, so their answer is always - TOO MUCH:(Wish we, as PMC, could track everything we do for our clients by time and then charge them like attorneys do.Here's a breakdown though:Monthly Management Fee: Typically 8-10% of collected rent, but several companies are now using a flat fee model of $79-149 monthly.

I would recommend browsing the forum and seeing who is answering questions similar to what you might have, going to the "build your team" section, and/or scheduling a conversation with a couple candidates and see who you think would be the best fit knowledge wise and price wise.
