The tech companies here are laying people off or not hiring (the six figure earners who can afford the $3000 1 bedroom apartment to $6000 rental house payments) so that doesn't sound good to me financially.

Unfortunately, with both companies being in the real estate tech industry, they were hit pretty hard by the recession.
