I’ve got a great contractor that helps me make a lot of decisions because not only is he in the construction end of the business but he also has some of his own property and manages some for others.

If there was a trust established, sometimes there is a decision maker for the estate.

@Eric Samuels I would say don't make any decisions during this period, and maybe even give yourself a 20-30 day research-only period where you just get to know your market and don't make any purchases.

I guess I'm trying to figure out is, will the final decision be the same for us living in the home vs. using it as a rental.

Should you personally give a **** about this guy's decision? 

This means the next month, I will probably miss another rent check and the eviction process will be delayed.I would greatly appreciate any input you may have on how I should make this decision.

Two major factors contributed to our decision; The way COVID was affecting the market in Austin at the time we were ready to sell, and a very generous offer from our contractor to foot the bill for the remaining property repairs, since we remodeled the whole darn thing, with the idea we would pay him back after closing and would sell through a realtor he recommended.
