I know the numbers look great on paper but the city is still not "ready for primetime" IMO.

Also, we found out that they did not help us to pay the property tax ( but it has been deducted on our rental income) and got penalties and the city called a collection company on that.

The biggest thing your credit score will affect is the interest rate you pay and the amount that you are preapproved for.
