Once you move to Chicago, I always recommend that anyone getting started attend in person meet ups.

If I'm in your shoes, I would attend at least 1 RE event a month or two, just to brush shoulders with lenders, other agents, and investors that frequent these events. 

I will probably do a mix of putting together investment property deals and land deals going forward but am curious about expanding and doing something different.I am curious from others who have left their W2s if there's any "I wish I had known this" advice - tax strategies since my income is way higher now than it will be next year, getting a performance coach, attending any particular conferences, etc.?

Ended up getting my real estate license while being a full time ICU nurse at the end of 2020.

Would certainly suggest with attending one or a few if time allows.
