Or, at the other end, a couple hundred for a 2 hour class in some hotel conference room, that there is just a limit to how much meaningful information can be transmitted verbally and with visual aids in any given time period.Also, by going to "gurus" who are selling their own super-dooper snake oil, new people are never going to learn enough about the basics to recognize upselling and false claims for what they are.

My problem was three fold, 1) I wasnt super clear with exactly what I wanted done, I was basically listening to entirely too many different opinions, 2) I overestimated how much work I could to myself in my free time, so my thoughts were to pay for just enough work to get the adviser to say the home is safe for me to live in and tell the bank everything was OK.  3) The contractor I had really slummed, my uncle and my adviser both realized that late into the game, so I just had to ride it out with the guy.

It is not SUPER competitive here yet but, it is getting there and the low hanging fruit type deals are fewer and farther between but, We are still able to get 70%.

that was quite accurate depiction of some of the bad players in the industry through those troubling times.I know even before the melt down when I was super active in courthouse steps buying.I dealt with personally the trustor that swore up and down they made a payment they are being screwed. etc etc... was some tough situations.I had one attempted suicide and one that was successful .. was not for the faint of heart.
