I’m looking to do section 8 rentals in the rust belt, states like West Virginia and Ohio, Although I live in Florida.

However, there are only a few soil scientist, around 30 in the whole state. 

Go out of state, MUCH better returns at MUCH lower price points.

@Ana Brasher,There is no official declaration or form that is required by the IRS or your state Department of Revenue when you start using the vacation property as a rental. 

Not sure what state you are in, but in MA, eviction records don't always show up in background checks.

I am not sure as I have not done business in Fort Lauderdale but I assume he talking about licensing with the state DBPR - division of hotels and restaurants.

When I buy out of state I want to work with a company that owns the entire process from top to bottom as in they use their own money to purchase the home, renovate it, sell to an investor then manage for them as well on the back end.
