I’m currently in the paying off mortgages stage (from 10 down to 7 now) so I understand the good feelings that come with paying them off but I would just do the math on the total payment and total expenses/interest per year of each way and one should be obviously better.

It sounds like you're in the right mindset by honing down what types of properties you're interested in and which markets you want to invest.

I was either channeling my inner @Steve Vaughan and taking a nap or driving through Kansas and MO with triple digits on the car thermometer -- the nap sounds better.

Does that offer sound good to you and are there any known better deals out there?

Then it pays to have the hardwoods refinished and the windows replaced, stage it and sell it!
