Derek Knorr Wood-burning fireplace in 4-plex: should it stay or go?

Compressed natural gas is cheaper than propane but I have not seen fireplaces for CNG yet or individual tanks for CNG.As I said previously, I would not remove a masonry fireplace and chimney and would expect the costs to be thousands, its not an easy job and the repairs to reframe and drywall the inside and reside the outside are just too costly.I have removed swimming pools which I consider a hazard in rental properties but not fireplaces.

The type of Fraud are identified in the FNMA Selling Guide(1), page 134, which include:...misrepresentation of occupancyOn page 1167, Verification of Owner-Occupancy, does indeed spell out post-closing review guidelines.As a practical matter, Fannie Mae form 3034 (Uniform deed of Trust) requires the occupancy of the property as borrowers principal residence for "at least one year after date of occupancy."

Some of the stain finishes (especially if sealed with a clear finish) look very sharp and would give the rental a distinct look and set it apart.Ironically, I am actually planning to try this first in my primary residence.

If you are apprehensive of going to Lowell for a place you should focus on places that have pretty strong upper blue collar residents or higher I'd think.
