Networking, relationships and reputation. 

The company is still online, HomeAdvisor, FB page, website etc. looking for some direction.

I'm thinking I need to find someone to partner with who has some experience to help protect against losing somebody's investment money.For my first deal, I'm looking in the South-East and for approximately a 6-12 unit apartment to start building my reputation and track record. 

Do you know of any websites or the best way to gather this information?

I have a list of contractors on my website.

work.They look creepy, invading, aggressive, creepy and stalky.If you really want to do DMM (you SHOULD) be getting a website... you do postcards and please be normal. don't push too hard to sell yourself.

If that is just for labor that is very high, I would recommend trying to find another quote using websites like Thumbtack and homeadvisor.

I personally like to be close to my properties so that plays a huge role in where I invest.Plus there is always just searching through the real estate websites like zillow and redfin.
