Boomers are just now discovering them and are realizing the benefits of staying at one.1) You made the mistake of having anything to do with social media, and 2) You are looking at AirBnB which is kinda the poor white trash of the business.....sure they're huge, but look at the reasons why......you can rent someone a room, a tent, a cot in your backyard.......renting out substandard places to stay leads to p**sed off clients.Anyone that thinks about this with any amount of reason will understand that vacation rentals are not going anywhere.

If you close on the property and then discover the roof is leaking, the main sewer line is nothing but tree roots, really any major expense, that can easily put a borrower in a position where they do not have enough actual cash to solve the problem, so the property loses value due to deferred maintenance, or the borrower digs themselves into more debt, making it even harder to get another loan to cash me out of the equation at that upper 20% of equity.
