They are worth their weight in gold and can really add to value of a property.   

And if you do send out a bunch of postcards, make sure you understand exactly how to find the gold when a ton of them get returned.

Another area where people don't commit themselves is the basement which can be a gold mine though this usually involves a lot of work.

With that in mind I will point out the US HAS Nationalized before, with confiscation, this was done to private gold ownership once upon a time, look it up.
