For example, not a good idea to use regular tile on floors (mobile homes "breathe" with temperature and humidity changes), best to use vinyl tiles that have beveled edge and grout with special pre-mixed grout especially made for these tiles or vinyl wood planks that "float" and leave half inch gap at the walls....same with carpet, need to leave half inch gap at walls, otherwise carpet will buckle and need re-stretching.

Some of these lock-together planks have compressed wood/particle board under the first layer....so they will not last long up to typical renters.

If the garage was built slab on grade, and no concrete block was used to get the sill plates off the ground, then that makes some sense (they probably didn't use pressure treated (PT) wood either).

sometimes if your flexible to accommodate their schedule. also if they do not have to remove the wood from the site, they should reduce the price.

I like wood floors plus in glen burnie for flooring, other places are cheaper like people giving stuff away or unloading extra stuff on craigslist etc.
