I've been in the RE biz full time for two decades myself.I get why you could view what he said that way and he did go into some other things that weren't directly in the scope of your exact project you're currently working on but he was comparing it to other experiences that did ultimately relate to your original question.

End of story.I do not have any doubt that your insurance clients had losses, but their specific properties in their specific situations do not affect my property.As far as your decades of family calcualtions, more power to you. everyone should have some type of calcualtions to consider an investment.
