She asked me what book I read to think I could get rich trying to invest in rental properties.

I used to swap out cylinders between rentals but then got really paranoid about how an aggressive lawyer could twist that into my negligence if a criminal entered the property with an old key.Now I spend $8 a cylinder to have it rekeyed to a totally new key and throw out the old keys.

I'm currently reading a book titled The eBay Billionaires Club.

So I've read all of these books all written in very different economic conditions.

What should I be more careful of or change to adapt to this market vs. what I've read in books written from a while back?

Option agreements can be assigned to an end buyer as long as you include "and / or assigns" next to your name.Just purchased my first Option from an owner last week for $10 & now I'm marketing it like crazy to find a buyer to assign it to before it expires.Thomas Lucier has an excellent book called How To Make Money With Real Estate Options - if you purchase his book he gives you access to the forms he uses.

This book also talks about receiving seller financing from motivated sellers as a way to get into a property with little or no money down and other ideas of the sort.

Since then I've been reading many RE books (so many books) trying to get a handle on what's involved.
