I got all this info from my JV partner and one conversation with his office assistant.Also, I am pretty sure he is not licensed which is a major problem since I can't pass inspection from the city unless he is licensed and pulls permits.I feel like I am getting scammed from all ends here and would love to hear some advice on how to protect myself at this point.IMO he has received more money than work completed (at inflated pricing).  

Some people are just anti education, and I get that, This to me was more like a fast pass, I didn't have to look through a whole bunch of people at a REIA and have to learn if they were out for their best interest oy mine, or if they even knew what they were talking about.

Doesn't Tony address in that book that IRAs and 401ks are some of the biggest scams?

The folks pulling the scam have gotten pretty sophisticated, and it can be an uphill battle for sure.

I'm extremely anti new car.I would recommend that you try to find a used Toyota Sienna,  Honda Odyssey, or similar minivan or wagon.

Im not totally anti stage im just saying its overrated.

In the marketplace on biggerpockets there are people who advertise tools some of these "tools" leverage WordPress to create awful "premium" content or their scam / "partnership opportunity" is mentioned in the marketplace and the link they tout goes to a hosted WordPress blog. 

I just hope the recent anti-exp sentiment of Gary Keller doesn't spoil things between agents outside of BP.

Her saying she has not gotten scammed and has done a lot of deals sounds like the odds are very low.
