For some, in any industry, we do go into it wanting to make money, for the commission, for the life style etc and as you get out of "survival" mode and start achieving success, you start realizing that you actually make more money when "you do the right thing for people" Doing the right thing (having people's best interest, having their back, giving them options, walking them through the path and educating them on what are the pros and cons to individual investment and advising them) will yield more money in the form of : Referrals, connections, good reputation, a good track record, and yes bc of it, more commissions.

(For example, I had rented in 8 different areas of Orlando for 8 years in a row, so I tend to have a better grasp on the numbers there lol) On the other hand, I also know that Florida's multi family prices, and market in general, compared to cities like Albany, Rochester, or Buffalo are substantially higher.

@Brian Lemonds No.1) the Owner would have to give you written authorization, not the agent2) even If the owner gave you authorization, You are not legally allowed to do it as per your state licensing laws3) the agent themselves can’t pay a commission/referral fee to a non licensed for a referral based on the deal closing
